Mortgage Underwriter 3 - Central Processing Underwriting, Richmond, VA

Mortgage Underwriter 3 needed in Richmond, VA.  Responsible for underwriting residential mortgage loans to ensure compliance with bank, FHA/VA, and secondary market standards.  Communicates with processors, originators, and other internal and external clients.  Meets performance standards and goals established by the bank.  Incumbents will typically possess 5 or more years of mortgage loan underwriting experience and be responsible for mortgage loans of the most complex nature including conventional, FHA and VA, bond/housing authority, and non-conforming loans.  May be required to assist in the training of less experienced underwriters and residential origination staff members.  May be in a lead role.

Basic Qualifications:  5 or more years of mortgage underwriting experience with FHA, VA, Conventional, Bond/Housing Authority, and Non-Conforming loans.

Preferred Qualifications:  Supervisory or training experience.
