Basic Function: (TEMPORARY POSITION)
This position is responsible for underwriting incoming business from brokers in the Bellevue, Washington region, according to guidelines set by M&T Mortgage Corp., FNMA, FHLMC and FHA.
Responsibilities:
~Underwrite Residential Mortgage Loans per product and Investor guidelines.
~Work with internal staff (Account Executives, Loan Officers, Broker Coordinators,
Loan Processors, etc) and external customers (Mortgage Brokers, etc) and third
parties to expediently decision mortgage loans submitted for approval.
~Verify HMDA and Compliance procedures are followed, as documented in loan file
submitted for underwriting
~For Government loans, if any, be accountable for shipping and insuring loans with
government agencies within required time frame.
~Respond and resolve any post closing issues to ensure loan is loan saleability.
~Answer product/program questions by internal staff and external customers
Basic Qualifications:
~High School Diploma
~Five (5) years underwriting experience with Lender and FHA DE/VA SAR
Designation
~Strong Customer Service skills
~Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
~Strong written and verbal skills
Ideal Qualifications:
~Associates degree or two (2) years relevant experience
~Wholesale lending experience a plus
