Position Description
Chartis has an opportunity for a Casualty Underwriter in its Environmental division. The Casualty Underwriter will be responsible for underwriting a wide array of non-environmentally-driven accounts/operations for assigned brokers. The successful candidate will profitably expand the assigned territory’s written premium by marketing our EAGLE and PROPAC products to key, established brokers as well as generating and fostering new relationships with brokers who currently don’t utilize those products. Lines of Business include: General Liability, Auto, Umbrell, Pollution Legal Liability, and Contractor’s E&O.
Position Requirements
5+ years of Casualty (preferably General Liability) underwriting experience. Must have strong underwriting, marketing, and sales negotiations skills. Must be able to work independently and within a team environment.
