The KleinBank Loan Operations department has an opening for an Underwriter to join their team. This individual would be responsible for the underwriting and the approval/decline of consumer loans insuring compliance with the credit guidelines.

The primary duties would include the monitoring of loan applications processed through the Mark IV system by the reviewing and verification of data integrity. Must provide the highest level of customer service and prompt delivery of loan decisions to lenders. Will also mentor and support lenders’ consumer lending and other financing option questions. Must have an in-depth knowledge of lending regulations as well as remain current on any regulatory or policy changes that would affect the lending program.

Qualifications for this position include 4 + years retail underwriting experience with a solid knowledge of the overall credit process, excellent communication and analytical skills. Must be able to multi-task and adapt to change in a fast paced growing environment. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
