Position Description
Chartis has an opening for an Underwriting Assistant. Responsibilities include:Premium coding - Work with Program Administrators, Program Managers and Healthcare Operations Team to ensure accurate and timely coding of policy premium.
Update weekly reports - Work with Program Managers and Unit Manager to track and update weekly sales forecast reporting.
Track and distribute submissions to underwriters - Work with Program Administrators and Program Managers to log and track all underwriting referrals submitted by Program Administrators.
Maintains Unit Documentation - Work with all Program Managers, Unit Manager and Chief Underwriting Officer to ensure accurate and complete documentation of Programs activity. This will require compliance with URD Program Administrator Guidelines.
Maintains File Room - In support of Unit Documentation, ensure the Programs file room is in order at all times.
Position Requirements
Skills and Experience required:
Good organizational & communication skills.
Good Excel skills.
Ability to improve workflow processes.
Risk Management/Insurance majors are a plus.
The ideal candidate will likely be a recent college graduate, although candidates with 0 - 3 years business experience are acceptable.
