CSE Insurance seeks an Underwriter to join our team
About the Position
RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Under minimum supervision and within written authority levels and guidelines, reviews and underwrites: New Business, endorsements, inspections, claims, correspondence and other in-force business.
o Establish viable working relationships with the agency force through regular daily contact and agent office visits.
o Perform agency management functions including: Annual agency reviews, work with the Marketing Representative in monitoring agents mix of business and loss ratios.
o Maintain agency profiles and management records in assigned territory and develop agency action plans.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
o Two to five year’s insurance company experience in property/casualty underwriting.
o College degree preferred or 2 to 5 years personal lines underwriting experience required, and an insurance related course such as INS, CPCU, or AIU and willingness to enroll in another.
o Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
o Must be able to work independently, but also work well as a team member.
