We currently have 10 temporary or temporary to hire Underwriter positions immediately available for a location near Schaumburg. The position will be paying between $25-$35 per hours depending on experience. Job Requirements
Responsibilities & Requirements:
Underwrites residential loans ensuring compliance with appropriate company and secondary market investor standards. Examines loan documentation for accuracy and completeness. Works with loan originator or production staff to secure all required documents. Works with more senior underwriters on loan exceptions. Have authority to withdraw and decline loans. May be involved in one or several types of mortgage lending (conventional, government-backed, etc..) Extensive customer contact required. 2+ years residential mortgage underwriting experience including manual decisioning, Ability to validate income, asset and collateral documents including self employed tax returns. Excellent phone skills and, superior customer service skills.
